Spencer Spit State Park is a public recreation area covering two hundred acres (81 ha) on the east side of Lopez Island in San Juan County, Washington. The state park features two sand spits that join to form a briny marsh lagoon that provides a migratory stop for waterfowl, including Bonaparte's gulls. Other local fauna include great blue herons and kingfishers.
