Saint Magdalen was a former town in Shelby Township, Ripley County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.[2]

History

A post office opened under the name Saint Magdalen in 1871, and remained in operation until 1905.[3] The community was named after Mary Magdalene.[4]

Saint Magdalen was located within the present-day boundaries of Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge, at 38°57′28″N 85°23′29″W / 38.95778°N 85.39139°W / 38.95778; -85.39139.
