Portuguese Colombians (Portuguese: Luso-colombianos) refers to Colombians who are descendants from Portugal. The Portuguese community in Colombia are notably in Bogota, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Cali, and Medellin and They form one of the smallest groups in the country.
History
The first Portuguese people to arrive in the country was during the Spanish colonial period, the majority of them arrived as Sphardi Jews where they fled from the Spanish rule from the 19th century. Then they later arrived during the 20th century, from the 1940s to 1950s.
