A French Colombian (French: Franco-Colombien, Spanish: Franco-Colombiano) is a Colombian citizen of full or partial French ancestry, or persons born in France residing in Colombia.
History
French immigration to Colombia began during the 19th century when they influenced industrial and legislative systems. Later during the 20th century, Some WWII refugees from France came to Colombia, but only stayed for a short while. Nowadays, Colombia has also become a cheap tourist or retirement destination for French citizens and there are currently 2,203 French citizens living in Colombia.[2]
