Oxon Run Parkway

The Oxon Run Parkway, is a corridor of federal park land and small park in the Washington Highlands neighborhood of Washington, D.C.. 126 acres (51 ha) of important wetlands and deciduous forest is located in this urban environment. Managed by the National Park Service, demonstrates how a relatively wooded and pristine environment can be preserved within a city setting. Before the establishment of the parkway, the parkland was contained within the Camp Simms military installation.
