News on Q was the flagship evening newscast of QTV/Q Channel 11. It was produced by GMA Network through GMA News and Public Affairs. Connie Sison and Ivan Mayrina were the final anchors of the newscast.

History

Launched on November 11, 2005, it used to air at 21:00 (PST) on the said sister channel, and was originally anchored by Ivan Mayrina and Rhea Santos. The tandem of Santos and Mayrina was formed from the GMA Network's now-defunct current affairs and travel show Pinoy Abroad.

On March 5, 2007, in line with the network's re-branding, News on Q's medium shifted from the usual Filipino to English prior to the election coverage special (Eleksyon 2007) between May 14 and 15, pitting up against the now-defunct Studio 23's News Central and RPN's iWatch News. This was Q's first English newscast after GMA Headline News and GMA Network News in the mid-80s and early 90s.

On August 11, 2008 along with Balitanghali, 24 Oras and Saksi, it was repackaged with a new theme, new set, new OBB, and a new set while economist Winnie Monsod became its newest segment reporter on the country's issues.

In 2009, from the usual 30 minutes, the run time was extended to 45 minutes. On April 5, 2010, the medium was restored to Filipino after 3 years answering to TV5's Aksyon (which premiered on the same night), Connie Sison joined the newscast and the run time was changed to 1 hour. On April 21, 2010, Sison becomes the permanent replacement for Rhea Santos prior to the election coverage special (Eleksyon 2010) between May 10 and 11.

Following the announcement of GMA News TV on February 7, 2011, the flagship newscast aired its final episode on February 25, as Q would go for its final sign-off on February 27. It was replaced by State of the Nation with Jessica Soho on February 28 as part of the same network's first day on the air.
