Hip hop in Montenegro

Hip hop in Montenegro evolved in the mid-1990s, and was popularized by Monteniggers. Following their popularity, various hip hop artists emerged, such as Rade Rapido, MC Marko, and to some extent, Rambo Amadeus, who was active long before that.

A new wave since the independence of Montenegro in 2006 Montenegrin hip hop emerged through artists and bands such as Who See, Barska Stoka, Radio katakomba, Psiho Mistik, Bacili, Džej Džej Okoča, Sivilo and others.

There was a hip hop festival in Montenegro in 2012, 2013 and 2014 called Asfaltiranje, in Podgorica.
