Miss Universe Greece (Greek: Μις Υφήλιος Ελλάς; previously called Star Hellas) is a national beauty pageant responsible for selecting Greece's representative to the Miss Universe pageant. The very first Miss Universe Greece pageant was held in 2018.
History
In 1952 the first Star Hellas competition took place in 1952. In the 1970s and early 1980s the pageant was aired every year from the Ellinikí Radiofonía Tileórasi. From 1990 to 2010, it was funded and aired on Greece's private network ANT1.[1][2]
Purposes
Miss Universe Greece expects to hold a pageant with confidently beautiful motto. Miss Universe Greece starts in 2018 will select the winner to Miss Universe per year. Greece did not compete in 1988, 2016 and 2017.

Started in 2018 the first annual Miss Universe Greece has been held by Evangelia Aravani (former Star Hellas 2005). The winner represents her country at Miss Universe pageant. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent. The pageant reruns as like as the motto "Confidently Beautiful".
