Marapurani Manishi (English: Memerable Person) is a 1973 Telugu drama film, produced by N. N. Bhatt under the Sri Uma Productions banner and directed by Tatineni Rama Rao.[2] It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Manjula in the lead roles, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan.[3] The film is a remake of the Malayalam movie Odayil Ninnu (1965), which was adapted from a novel of the same name, which was first remade as the Tamil movie Babu (1971), with Sivaji Ganesan and later as the Hindi movie Babu (1985), with Rajesh Khanna in the main role. Akkineni Nageswara Rao won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Telugu [4] for this film.
