Bangaru Babu (English: Golden Boy) is a 1973 Telugu Romance film, produced and directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad under his Jagapathi Art Pictures banner. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Vanisri in the lead roles, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan.[1][2][3]

Plot

Buchi Babu (Akkineni Nageswara Ra) is a Railway Station Master in a village. He is a simple man, respected and loved by all. Vani (Vanisri) is a budding actress who gains fortune and fame in a short time. When her evil manager (Nagabhushanam) who is also her own uncle forces her to marry him for her wealth, Vani runs away and lands at Buchi Babu's house. He helps her out by giving her shelter for one night, the next day, people assume that it is Buchi Babu's wife.
