Machu Qullqa (Quechua machu old, old person, qullqa, qulqa deposit, storehouse,[1] "old deposit") is an archaeological zone in Peru. It lies in the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Huayllabamba District.[2] Machu Qullqa is situated at a height of about 3,850 metres (12,631 ft) above the left bank of the Urubamba River, near the village Raqch'i (Raqchi).[2]
