Lucy Troisi ( listen) is a Canadian politician, who was appointed to Toronto City Council on November 2, 2017.[1] She represents Ward 28, which had been vacant since the death of Pam McConnell in July 2017.[1]

Troisi grew up in Regent Park and lives in Cabbagetown.[2]

At the time of her appointment to council, Troisi was executive director of the Cabbagetown Youth Centre.[3] She previously served as a manager in the city's parks, forestry and recreation division from 1996 to 2005.[4]

She won the appointment on the second ballot, in a council vote that split along ideological lines between conservative (primarily suburban) councillors who favoured Troisi, and progressive (primarily 'downtown') councillors who favoured activist and McConnell staffer Michael Creek.[1]
