This is a list of notable people from Bulacan, who are also known as Bulaqueños.

National heroes and patriots

The early people of Bulacan, had also risen in revolt as in other parts of the country. Bulacan was one of the eight provinces, which rallied behind the Katipunan's call for an all-out insurrection against the Spanish occupation in the late 19th century.

Defended the Barrio of Langka and commanded the katipuneros of year 1898 against the spaniards,one of the foundations of Bulacan alongside the Supremo Gat Andres Bonifacio. Also one of the Commanding Officers of the Supremo.

  • Francisco Santiago (Santa Maria) - kundiman composer
  • Teodoro Gener (Norzagaray) - Tagalog poet, writer and novelist,[1] also noted for his works with the Institute of National Language (1937–1987) at the time when Tagalog was proposed as the basis for the national language.[2] His works include Duplo't Balagtasan, Essentials of Tagalog, Ang Kudlit at Tatas ng Wikang Tagalog, and translations into Tagalog from the original Spanish of the famous novel Don Quixote and of the legal statute Kodigo Penal (with Cirilo Hipolito Panganiban).

  • Jesus "Jess" R. Galang (Calumpit) - writer and poet. His works include the poem "Dugo ang Pader Sa Pagitan Ng Propiyetaryo't Magsasaka", adjudged as the third consolation prize winner in the 1989 Timpalak Talaang Ginto: Gantimpalang Collantes (Makata ng Taon) of the Surian ng Wikang Pambasa (SWP), now Linangan ng Wikang Filipino (LWF).

Lt.General Rafael Manio Ileto (Salacot San Miguel Bulacan)served as the 22nd Secretary of the Department of National Defense (DND) of the Philippines.
