Ruperto Cruz Santos, D.D. (born October 30, 1957), is a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. He is the current Bishop of Balanga.
Biography
Santos is the current Bishop of Balanga having assumed the post since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on April 1, 2010. He was ordained as bishop on June 24, 2010 and installed as the fourth bishop of the diocese on July 8, 2010. Prior to his appointment as bishop, he served as a priest in the Archdiocese of Manila, Philippines. He was ordained priest on September 10, 1983 and consecrated bishop on June 24, 2010 by Cardinal Gaudencio Borbon Rosales, the then Archbishop of Manila[1]
