List of ice cream flavors

Neapolitan ice cream is made up of blocks of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream side by side in the same container.

This is a list of notable ice cream flavors. Ice cream is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream and often combined with fruits or other ingredients and flavors. Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made with other sweeteners.

Bacon ice cream: bacon caramel maple ice cream
  • Avocado ice cream
  • Bacon ice cream[1] – a modern invention, generally created by adding bacon to egg custard and freezing the mixture
  • Banana Nut ice cream
  • Bastani Sonnati, a type of Persian ice cream
  • Beer ice cream[2]
  • Belgian Chocolate ice cream
  • Black walnut ice cream[3]
  • Blueberry ice cream
  • Blue Moon – an ice cream flavor with bright blue coloring, available in the Upper Midwest of the United States
  • Brown bread ice cream – ice cream with Grape-Nuts breakfast cereal
  • Bubblegum ice cream - Ice cream with a pink bubblegum flavoring and small chunks of bubblegum. Alternately, a Blue Moon ice cream flavoring is sometimes used also.
  • Burgundy Cherry ice cream
  • Butterbeer ice cream – Butterbeer is a fictional drink in the world of Harry Potter. The ice cream is sold at LA, Osaka, and Orlando Universal Studios in the Harry Potter themed areas.
  • Butter Brickle was the registered trademark of a toffee ice cream flavoring and of a toffee-centered chocolate-covered candy bar similar to the Heath bar, introduced by the Blackstone Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska in the 1920s.[4] Alternately, it is often prepared and sold as butter vanilla flavored ice cream with tiny flecks of butter toffee instead of chunks of Heath bar.
Butter pecan caramel ice cream
  • Butter Pecan is a smooth vanilla ice cream with a slight buttery flavor, with pecans added; manufactured by many major ice cream brands.
  • Butterscotch ice cream
  • Charcoal ice cream – This ice cream flavor, which is made by using the key ingredient of activated charcoal, gives the flavor a black-colored appearance. It is most notable for being served with a black cone and is a staple for the ice cream shop Little Damage in Los Angeles as well as the Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream in New York. The charcoal flavor is paired with other ingredients such as horchata, almond, and coconut in order to mask the taste of the charcoal. Although not confirmed by researchers, the activated charcoal is said to offer health benefits such as detoxification. This ice cream flavor also produces the effect of leaving the person who consumes it with black lips and teeth.[5][6][7]

  • Dreamsicle ice cream - Vanilla ice cream mixed with orange sherbet.
  • Dulce de Leche ice cream
  • Durian ice cream[12] – Durian grows in many areas of southeast Asia. It is often not allowed on public transport due to its pungent odor. Some find the flesh of the fruit to be a delicacy, while others despise it.
