List of Bandai Namco video game franchises

Bandai Namco is a Japanese holding company that specializes in video games, anime, toys and amusement parks, formed from the merger of Namco and Bandai in September 2005. Bandai Namco Entertainment is the video game branch of the company. Best known for their video games such as Pac-Man, Galaga and Ace Combat, the company has created and purchases numerous video game franchises for both arcades, home consoles and iOS. The company's best selling franchise is Tekken with over 40 million copies sold[1], while Pac-Man is their highest-grossing franchise, with over $12.81 billion as of 2016.

Bandai Namco currently owns Banpresto, who previously developed video games,[2] and D3 Publisher, who continues to develop games, as well as the publishing rights to numerous licensed properties such as Dragon Ball and One Piece. In this case, the first entry in the list will be the first game that was published by Bandai Namco. Additionally, Bandai Namco previously owned Monolith Soft, who developed the Xenosaga, Baten Kaitos and Project X Zone series, before the company was sold to Nintendo in 2007, however Bandai Namco currently owns the rights to these series.
