Ryori no Tatsujin (料理の達人 lit. Cooking Master) is a series of arcade games released by Namco in Japan only in the early 2000s. The games are loosely based on a Japanese cooking show by a similar name. The titles were centered around ancient China and Japan as they featured gameplay based on Chinese and Japanese cooking.

The first title in the series was released in April 2000. While holdings the frying pan attached to the cabinet, the player was to successfully get as many colored balls through the plastic ring attached to the pan.[1] The player would earn large numbers of points for each ball that makes it though the hole. The original cabinet for the game costed 735,000 yen (or 6,738.48 USD).[2]

Ryori no Tatsujin 2: Hocho no Tatsujin

A sequel game, Ryori no Tatsujin 2: Hocho no Tatsujin, was released in April 2001. Using the plastic knife attached to the cabinet, the player was to quickly chop up various species of fish on the LCD screen on the machine before time runs out.[1] If all of the specified parts on the fish have been chopped, then the player would receive a prize. If the timer runs out before the player cut up the needed parts of the fish, the game is over.
