The 1956 Labour Party deputy leadership election took place on 2 February 1956, after sitting deputy leader Herbert Morrison was challenged by Jim Griffiths and Aneurin Bevan.

Incumbent Herbert Morrison was defeated by a large margin, coming third with 13.7% of the vote.
