European Parliamentary Labour Party

In the Politics of the European Union the European Parliamentary Labour Party (EPLP) is the parliamentary party of the UK Labour Party in the European Parliament. The EPLP is an integral part of the Socialist and Democrats (S&D) Group in the European Parliament and of the Labour Party.

Labour has 20 Members of the European Parliament. The EPLP sits as part of the pan-European Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) in the European Parliament, along with MEPs from its sister parties such as the French Parti Socialiste, the German SPD, the Swedish Socialdemocrats, the Dutch Labour Party and so on. Like other national delegations, it has its own leadership and spokespeople representing Labour in Brussels and Strasbourg.
