Knebworth railway station serves the village of Knebworth in Hertfordshire, England. It is 25 miles 3 chains (40.29 km) from London King's Cross on the East Coast Main Line.[1] It is managed and served by Great Northern.

History

The main line of the Great Northern Railway was completed in 1852.[2] A station at Knebworth was opened on 1 February 1884.[3]

In 2009 previous franchise holder First Capital Connect installed tactile surfaces to the stations stairways, after it gained funding from the Department for Transport as part of its "Access For All" scheme.[4]

Services

There is a half-hourly service southbound to London King's Cross. Northbound there is an hourly service to Cambridge and Peterborough respectively.[5]

On Sundays there is at least an hourly service to both London Kings Cross and Cambridge during the day, with additional services on Sunday mornings to London.
