John Craig Chenoweth (May 5, 1943 – August 10, 1991) was a Minnesota politician and head of the Minneapolis Employee Retirement Fund. As a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, he served in the Minnesota State House and Senate. He was murdered on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis on August 10, 1991, a victim of an anti-gay hate crime.[1][2]
