Inside Edge is an Indian-American web television series based on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks that plays in the Powerplay League (based on Indian Premier League).[1][2] It premiered on Amazon Video on July 10, 2017. This is Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian original series.[1][3] The series stars Richa Chada, Tanuj Virwani, Vivek Oberoi and Angad Bedi in lead roles.[4][5][6] The first season premiered in June 2017.[1][7] The series has been positively received by critics and audience and nominated for Best Drama series at 46th International Emmy Awards.[8][9] The series has been renewed for a second season.[10]
Plot
The series is an inside look behind the politics of the game which is set in a landscape of conflicting interests, where selfishness is almost a virtue, while sex, money, and power are mere means to an end.[11]

- Vivek Oberoi as Vikrant Dhawan,[9] The owner of one of the world's leading sports management companies
- Richa Chadha as Zarina Malik,[7] A fading actress and co-owner of the Mumbai Mavericks
- Tanuj Virwani as Vayu Raghavan,[6] The star player of the Mavericks and a moody hothead
- Angad Bedi as Arvind Vashishth,[4] an ex Indian international and the current captain of the Mavericks
- Sayani Gupta as Rohini Raghavan,[9] sister of Vayu and the Chief Team Analyst of the Mavericks.
- Sanjay Suri as Niranjan Suri,[9] The coach of the Mavericks
- Siddhant Chaturvedi as Prashant Kanaujia,[9] A rookie fast bowler from UP hinterland who joins the Mavericks
- Sarah-Jane Dias as Meera Nagpal,[9] a journalist and ex-girlfriend of Vayu
- Amit Sial as Devender Mishra, Maverick's spinner and a senior player in the team
- Manuj Sharma as KR Raghunath, Maverick's wicket-keeper
- Manu Rishi as Manoharlal Handa, A rich but eccentric businessman and the owner of rival team Haryana Hurricanes
- Alexx O'Nell as Craig Litner, Vice-Captain of the Mavericks
- Edward Sonnenblick as Hamish Mccall, Maverick's fast baller
- Asha Saini as Ayesha Dewan, Handa's partner and a power broker based in Delhi
- Aahana Kumra as Shahana Vashishth, Arvind's estranged wife

Reception
The series has received critical acclaim for performance and storyline. The acting performance of Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virvani, Richa Chada and Sayani Gupta has been especially praised.[9][8] India Today called the series "perfectly cast and technically first rate".[2] The Indian Express praised the performance of all actors saying that "web-series packs interesting punch shouldered by some honest performances" and also stated that the shows quality hasn't been compromised just because web series is a far smaller medium than films.[1] Firstpost positively reviewed the series saying "The characters are so seamlessly integrated into the narrative that it does not feel like a make believe world".[9]
