Hanna is an upcoming American action drama web television series based on the 2011 film of the same name starring Esme Creed-Miles, as the title character Hanna, alongside Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos. The series is set to be written by David Farr, directed by Sarah Adina Smith, and premiere on Amazon Video.
Premise
Hanna follows "the journey of an extraordinary young girl, Hanna, as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is."[1]

Production
Development
On May 23, 2017, it was announced that Amazon had given the production a straight-to-series order.[2] David Farr, who co-wrote the film, is expected to write the series. Executive producers are set to include Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Scott Nemes, and JoAnn Alfano. Production companies involved included Tomorrow Studios and NBCUniversal International Studios.[3][4][5]
On February 8, 2018, it was announced that the series will be directed by Sarah Adina Smith and that Working Title Television, with executive producers Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, had joined the production.[1]
Casting
On February 8, 2018, it was announced that Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman, and Esme Creed-Miles had been cast in the series' lead roles.[1][6][7]
Filming
Principal photography is expected to begin in March 2018 in Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.[1] Filming was also set to take place in Spain at the port of Almeria and the Estación Intermodal.[8][9]
