Gowar is an extinct indigenous language of Australia. The language was spoken on Moreton Island of the coast of modern-day Brisbane.[3]
Other spellings are Goowar, Gooar, Guar, Gowr-burra; other names Ngugi (Mugee, Wogee, Gnoogee), Chunchiburri, Booroo-geen-merrie.
