Rory Palmer
Rory Palmer is a British Labour politician. He became Labour member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands on 3 October 2017.[1]
Political career
He was a Leicester city councillor for Eyres Monsell from 2007 to 2017 and deputy to the Mayor of Leicester Peter Soulsby.[2]
In the 2010 general election, he stood in Bosworth.[3]
In the 2014 European Parliament election, he was second on the Labour party list in the East Midlands constituency[4] but was not elected. Glenis Willmott MEP announced in July 2017 that she would stand down in October and Palmer succeeded her.[5]
