Dungannon, Columbiana County, Ohio

Dungannon is an unincorporated community in Columbiana County, Ohio, in the United States.[1]

History

Dungannon was laid out in 1835 when the Sandy and Beaver Canal was extended to that point.[2] The community was named after Dungannon, Northern Ireland, the native home of a first settler.[2] A post office was established at Dungannon in 1840, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903.[3]
