Devipur is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Deoghar district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 22 km from Deoghar, the district headquarters.

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India, Devipur CD Block had a total population of 107,015, all of which were rural. There were 55,679 (52 %) males and 51,336 (48 %) females. Population below 6 years was 20,784. Scheduled Castes numbered 14,290 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 12,746.[3]

Literacy

As of 2011 census, the total number of literates in Devipur CD Block was 51,251 (59.43 % of the population over 6 years) out of which 32,982 (64 %) were males and 18,269 (36 %) were females.[3]
