Darul Uloom Ahmadiyya Salafia (Hindi: दारुल उलूम अहमदीया सलफीया, Urdu: دارالعلوم احمدیہ سلفیہ, Arabic: دارالعلوم احمدیة سلفیة)is an Islamic institution located at Darbhanga district of Bihar. The Salafi educational institution was established in 1918 AD (1336 AH) by Maulana Abdul Aziz Rahimabadi.[1][2]

History

In 1918 Maulana Abdul Aziz Rahimabadi, a great Islamic traditionist established the Darul Uloom Ahmadiyya Salafia in Darbhanga, Bihar. The campus is distributed over a large area with modern buildings. The library has 5000+ books. The institution owns a printing press which publishes a fortnightly magazine "Al Huda" and other books.[1]

Academics

The medium of instruction are Urdu, Arabic and English. Institution offers degrees of Primary (Ibtedaiya), Secondary (Sanwiya), Intermediate (Motawassita), Graduation (Alimiyat) and Post Graduation (Fazilat) courses. Also offers separate course of Qur'an commoration (Hifz).[2]

Purpose of Foundation

  • To present the correct Islam in and around India and Nepal.
  • To impart Islamic knowledge among Muslim children.

Teaching methodology and credentials

The methodology of Darul Uloom is accepted by the foreign universities such as Islamic University of al-Madinah al-Munawarah - Madina, Umm al-Qura University - Makkah, Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University - Riyadh, as well as Jamia Millia Islamia - Delhi, Jamia Hamdard - Delhi. Also Bihar State Madarsa Education Board, Patna has approved the teaching methodology. After graduating from Darul Uloom, many students go to the above-mentioned universities for higher education.
