Chandrakant Kavlekar also known as Chandrakant 'Babu' Kavlekar is an Indian Politician from the state of Goa.He is a three term member[1] of the Goa Legislative Assembly.

In the election for legislative assembly Babu kavleker successfully won against BJP candidate Prakash Velip and elected as MLA for fourth consecutive term.

He is now appointed as Leader of Opposition in Legislative assembly and has become a strong hold in 7 constituencies where he was given responsibility.
