Bozan ( Arabic: بوزان‎), also written Buzan or Bawzan, is a town northern Iraq. It is located in Ninawa Governorate, 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) East of Alqosh 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Mosul.[1][2]

Bozan has a mainly Yezidi population.[3] Previously it was an Assyrian town.[4]

Wildlife

The vulnerable wild goat (Capra aegagrus) lives in nearby Buzan Mountain.[5]
