Barrod is the oldest village in Behror tehsil, Alwar District, Rajasthan, India. It is situated on State Highway No-14, RJ SH 14. The name is sometimes written as Bardod. Two villages come under the administration of the Barrod panchayat: Barrod and Kankara Barrod.

History

The village history. Barrod have four Thok, Ladawt thok, Rana ji ka thok, Ladji ka Thok,

Agriculture is the main occupation of the villagers, and vegetables are the main crops.

Since last decade or so Barrod has been emerging as a place counted in its vicinity of its surrounding villages — for providing facilities for children's education, selling their produce, shopping, trade, institutional interaction etc. Besides the Main Bazar that is in the center of town, there are a number of shop-clusters or markets specializing in merchandise like footwear, vegetables and fruits, medicines etc.

Main landmarks of the village include Rudh Ka Mahal, Govt Bheemraj sr sec school near rewari mode, at high school ground. Its has a popular place- bhagta wali dhani 'Community Hospitality Centre (CHC) and Dharamshala. Community Hospitality Centre is Inaugurated by first President of India Dr Rajendra prasad.
