The Aurora Police Department (APD) is the primary law enforcement agency serving the City of Aurora, Colorado, United States and some surrounding areas. Its headquarters are at East Alameda Parkway.[3] APD is one of the largest municipal police department in Colorado.

The current chief of police is Nick Metz.[4]

The Aurora Police Department is an internationally accredited law enforcement agency and meets the high standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
