Anthony García (born January 4, 1992) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball outfielder in the Oakland Athletics organization.

García made his professional debut in 2009 with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He played for the Puerto Rico national baseball team at the 2015 Pan American Games.^[1] He was added to the 40-man roster on November 5, 2015. During the 2016 season, he split time between the Springfield Cardinals and the Memphis Redbirds. He posted a .238 batting average with 11 home runs and 43 RBIs between both clubs.^[2] In 2017, he once again split time between Springfield and Memphis, where he batted .282 with 16 home runs and 72 RBIs.^[3] He elected free agency on November 6, 2017, and signed a minor league contract with the Oakland Athletics on November 28.^[4]

Jonah Heim

Jonah Nathan Heim (born June 27, 1995) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Oakland Athletics organization.

Heim attended Kenmore East High School in Tonawanda, New York, and Amherst Central High School in Snyder, New York.^[5] He signed a letter of intent to attend Michigan State University on a college baseball scholarship to play for the Michigan State Spartans.^[6]

The Baltimore Orioles selected Heim in the fourth round, with the 129th overall selection, of the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with Baltimore, receiving a $389,700 signing bonus, rather than enroll at Michigan State.^[7] He made his professional debut that season the GCL Orioles and spent all of 2013 there, slashing .185/.275/.247 in 27 games. In 2014, he played for the GCL Orioles and the Aberdeen IronBirds where he batted .196 with one home run and seven RBIs in 46 games, and in 2015, he played for the Delmarva Shorebirds where he compiled a .248 batting average with one home runs and 16 RBIs in 43 games. He began 2016 with the Frederick Keys.

On August 1, 2016, the Orioles traded Heim to the Tampa Bay Rays for Steve Pearce.^[8] Tampa Bay assigned him to the Charlotte Stone Crabs and he finished the season there. In 102 total games between Frederick and Charlotte, he collected a .217 batting average with eight home runs and 33 RBIs. He spent 2017 with both Charlotte and the Bowling Green Hot Rods, slashing .260/.317/.402 with nine home runs, 61 RBIs, and a .718 OPS in 93 games.^[9]

Heim was traded to the Oakland Athletics on December 19, 2017, as the player to be named later to complete a trade for Joey Wendle.^[10]

Daulton Jefferies

Daulton Compton Jefferies (born August 2, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Oakland Athletics organization. He played college baseball for the California Golden Bears. He was drafted by the Miami Marlins out of high school in the 39th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft but did not sign, instead deciding to attend school at the University of California, Berkeley. After his junior year he was drafted by the Oakland Athletics with the 37th overall pick of the 2016 MLB Draft.

Jefferies attended Buhach Colony High School in Atwater, California where he both pitched and played shortstop. As a junior in high school, Jefferies was named Central California Conference MVP after going 8-0 with a 1.26 earned run average (ERA) and putting up a .366/.480/.505 slash line. Daulton's senior season was equally as impressive as he went 10-2 with a 0.92 ERA and a school record 142 strikeouts, again taking home the Central California Conference MVP.^[11] Jefferies had initially verbally committed to play baseball for Stanford University during the summer of his junior year of high school, but the offer fell through and Jefferies was forced to find another school, eventually deciding on the University of California, Berkeley.^[12]

As a freshman for the California Golden Bears in 2014, Jefferies started 15 games, finishing the year 2-8 with a 3.45 ERA and 58 strikeouts in a team-high ​92 ²⁄₃ innings. Jefferies' sophomore season saw both his record and earned run average improve, as he appeared in 14 games, starting 13, and went 6-5 with a 2.92 ERA, enough to warrant a First Team All-Pac-12 selection.^[13] The summer after his sophomore season, Jefferies was a member of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.^[14]

Jefferies was drafted by the Oakland Athletics with the 37th overall pick of the 2016 MLB Draft.^[15] He spent his first professional season with the AZL Athletics where he posted a 2.38 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 11.1 innings pitched.^[16] He pitched in only two games in 2017 before undergoing Tommy John surgery, thus ending his season.^[17]

Jefferies has a four pitch repertoire. His fastball has a bit of sink and sits in the low-to-mid 90's, but can top out around 96 mph. His primary off-speed pitch is his changeup which he throws in the mid-80's with good sink and fade. He also has a decent slider and a good three-quarters curveball.^[18]

Jefferies is the nephew of former MLB pitcher Blas Minor, and his older brother Jake pitched in the minor leagues for both the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays organizations.^[19]

Richie Martin

Richard Allen Martin (born December 22, 1994) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Oakland Athletics' organization. He attended the University of Florida and played college baseball for the Florida Gators before the Athletics selected him in the 2015 MLB Draft.

Martin attended Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida.^[20] In the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, the Seattle Mariners selected Martin in the 38th round, with the 1,151st overall selection of the draft. He opted not to sign with Seattle. Martin enrolled at the University of Florida to play college baseball for the Florida Gators baseball team.^[21] In 2015, Martin was named to the preseason Golden Spikes Award watch list.^[22] During the summer, Martin played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod League.^[23]

In the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, the Oakland Athletics selected Martin in the first round, with the 20th overall selection. Martin signed with the Athletics.^[24] Martin spent 2015 playing for the Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York-Penn League.^[25] He finished 2015 batting .237 with two home runs and 16 RBIs. Martin spent the 2016 season with both the Stockton Ports and the Midland RockHounds, posting a combined a .235 batting average with three home runs, 38 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 91 total games between the two teams. In 2017, he played for both Midland and the Stockton Ports, batting .234 with four home runs and 33 RBIs in 109 total games.^[26]

Kevin Merrell

Kevin Custer Merrell (born December 14, 1995) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Oakland Athletics organization. Merrell was on the Citrus Park team that advanced to the 2008 Little League World Series. He graduated from Steinbrenner High School in 2014. He played college baseball at University of South Florida.^[27][28] He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the 2017 MLB draft.^[29] Merrell signed with Oakland and was assigned to the Vermont Lake Monsters where he batted .320 with two home runs, nine RBIs, and a .786 OPS in 31 games.^[30]

He began 2018 with the Stockton Ports.

Sean Murphy

Sean Michael Murphy (born October 10, 1994) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Oakland Athletics organization.

Murphy attended Centerville High School in Centerville, Ohio and played college baseball at Wright State University. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the third round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.^[31]

Murphy made his professional debut with the Arizona League Athletics, playing one game with them, before being promoted to the Vermont Lake Monsters.^[32] He batted .237 with two home runs and 7 RBIs in 22 games with Vermont. He started 2017 with the Stockton Ports and was promoted to the Midland RockHounds in June;^[33][34] he batted a combined .250 with 13 home runs and 48 RBIs in 98 games between the two teams.^[35]

James Naile

James Aubrey Naile (born February 8, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Oakland Athletics organization.

Naile attended Charleston High School in Charleston, Missouri and played college baseball at Parkland College and the University of Alabama-Birmingham. In 2013, he underwent Tommy John Surgery and missed the 2014 season.^[36] He returned from the injury in 2015 and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 20th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.^[37]

Naile made his professional debut with the Arizona League Athletics and was later promoted to the Vermont Lake Monsters. In 25.1 total relief innings pitched between the two teams, he was 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA. In 2016, he pitched for the Beloit Snappers, Stockton Ports, Midland RockHounds and Nashville Sounds, compiling a combined 9-11 record and 3.39 ERA in 28 games (26 starts). After the season, he won a Minor League Gold Glove Award.^[38] In 2017, he pitched for the Arizona League Athletics, Stockton and Midland,^[39] going 2-3 with a 3.30 ERA in 18 games (14 starts).^[40] Naile started 2018 with Nashville.^[41]

Tyler Ramirez

Tyler Christopher Ramirez (born February 21, 1995) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Oakland Athletics organization.

Ramirez attended the Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach, Virginia and played college baseball at the University of North Carolina. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the seventh round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.^[42]

Ramirez spent his first professional season in 2016 with the Arizona League Athletics and Vermont Lake Monsters,^[43] compiling a combined .230 batting average with two home runs and 23 RBIs in 56 games. In 2017, he played for the Stockton Ports and Midland RockHounds, slashing .304/.398/.431 with 11 home runs and 63 RBIs in 134 games.^[44] After the season, he played in the Arizona Fall League.^[45] Ramirez started 2018 with Midland.^[46]

Mikey White

Michael John White III (born September 3, 1993) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Oakland Athletics organization.

White was drafted by the New York Mets in the 34th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft out of Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama.^[47] He did not sign with the Mets and played college baseball at the University of Alabama.^[48][49] Over his three years at Alabama, he played in 184 games and hit .308/.403/.448 with 13 home runs and 98 runs batted in (RBI).

White was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft.^[50] He signed with the Athletics and made his professional debut with the Vermont Lake Monsters, and he was later promoted to the Beloit Snappers; he posted a combined .253 batting average with three home runs and 28 RBIs in 64 games between both clubs. He spent 2016 with the Stockton Ports where he batted .247 with six home runs and 50 RBIs in 124 games. In 2017, he returned to Stockton, and posted a .261 average with 17 home runs and 73 RBIs in 115 games.^[51] He began 2018 with the Midland RockHounds.

White's father is a former Navy SEAL, actor, and bodyguard.^[52]
