AirPower was a proposed wireless charging mat to be developed by Apple Inc.[1] It was announced on September 12, 2017 at an Apple media event at the Steve Jobs Theater.[2][3]
It was to be based on the Qi standard, but was planned to be able to charge multiple devices simultaneously, which is not currently a feature of the Qi standard.[4][5] Apple claimed it was working towards incorporating this ability into the Qi-standard.[6]
On September 12, 2018, Apple removed almost all mentions of the AirPower from its website.[7]

AirPower will be compatible with the following devices:[1][8]
- iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
- iPhone X
- Apple Watch Series 3
- AirPods (with wireless charging case) (forthcoming)
