"A House Full of Peters" is the twentieth episode and season finale of the fifteenth season of the animated sitcom Family Guy, and the 289th episode overall. It aired on Fox in the United States on May 21, 2017, and is written by Chris Sheridan and directed by Joseph Lee.[1]

Plot

During a ladies night out, Lois Griffin, Donna Tubbs, and Bonnie Swanson all make prank phone calls to their husbands. When Lois pranks Peter by pretending to be a long-lost daughter, he panics and hangs up, causing her to wonder about his strange behavior. The next day, she follows him to a sperm bank where she finds out that prior to their wedding, Peter sold sperm to raise money for her wedding ring and had panicked at her call, and wanted to assure himself that his identity was still to remain secret from any offspring. Lois is touched by his gesture, and talks him into allowing contact with any potential children he may have. Shortly after, they are greeted by a large mass of descendants of all ages, sizes, and colors.

After a backyard party to get acquainted, Lois finds herself attracted to Larry, a young adult who reminds her of Peter at the time they were married. After they share a kiss, she feels guilty and tries to keep their relationship just friendly. But when Peter catches Larry trying to undo Lois' bra with his teeth as part of a "back rub", they start fighting. As everyone gathers around and watches, Larry nearly has the upper hand until Lois knocks him cold. She tells Peter that she realizes that they have something together that only age in a relationship can bring as Peter notes that none of the other offspring stepped forward to intervene.

Peter then pledges to continue to flush all future sperm down the sink, at which then the camera shifts to the sewers where sewer alligators, rats, and a sewer alligator/rat hybrid with Peter's features share his laugh.

Cultural references

Peter and his offspring fart the musical notes used to communicate with the alien spaceship in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Reception

The episode had an audience of 2.14 million viewers, making it the second most-watched episode of the night, behind The Simpsons.[2] Jake Beamer of Bubbleblabber, in a very positive review, gave the episode along with the previous episode "Dearly Deported" a 9/10. He went on to say: "Overall, two pretty great episodes—there are always some jokes that are missing (suicide and fat jokes are never funny to me) but everything else worked pretty well and the gross or weird stuff is always welcomed—better that than unfunny dullness. There were even a cutaway or two that worked well, and didn’t feel forced or throw away."[3]
