แผ่นดิน

แผ่น (pɛ̀n, “sheet”) +‎ ดิน (din, “earth; ground; soil”); literally "sheet of earth", "sheet of ground", etc. Compare Lao ແຜ່ນດິນ (phǣn din), Lü ᦶᦕᧃᧈᦡᦲᧃ (ṗhaen¹ḋiin), Tai Dam ꪵꪠ꪿ꪙ ꪒꪲꪙ.
