อัญเชิญ

From Middle Khmer ʼañjeñ (“to address an earnest or urgent request to; to beseech; to invite; etc.”). Compare Modern Khmer អញ្ជើញ (ʾɑñcəəñ).

อัญเชิญ • (an-chəən)

1. (formal, elegant) used as a polite addition to requests, commands, etc.
   • ศรีปราชญ์, อนิรุทธ์คำฉันท์:

     จึงวาดนแน่งโฉม อนิรุทธราชา นางเอาขดานมา บันทับทรวงก็ไห้โหย อ้านี้แหละรูปท้าว อันมาชมมาชายโชย จำนองกระอืดโอย ทุกขทรวงรลวงกาม ผิพี่เอ็นดูน้อง อัญเชิญช่วยมาดับความ ร้อนเร่าคือเพลิงลาม ลันลุงแดกำเดาดวง

     So the maid drew the picture of Anirudha the fair prince [onto a slate]. Having seen the image, the princess took the slate up and pressed it with her chest, saying with tears: "Ah! This, indeed, is the picture of the lord who came to caress me!" The princess shed tears of passion as the fancy writhed her heart harshly. "Sister, if you do have compassion for me, please come and quell this unholy matter of mine. Scorching is this fire that is burning my heart and consuming my mind!", said she.
