กรุณา

From Sanskrit करुणा (karuṇā, “compassion; empathy; pity; etc.”).

1. (used as a polite addition to requests, commands, etc.) kindly; please.

   กรุณาทำซ้ำหลังจากที่ฉัน

   gà-rú-naa tam sám lǎng-jàak tîi chǎn

   Please repeat after me. (female speaker)

1. a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

   1. เมตตา (mêet-dtaa, “benevolence”);

   3. มุทิตา (mú-tí-dtaa, “empathetic joy”); and
   4. อุเบกขา (ù-bèek-kǎa, “equanimity”).
