From the same stem as segli (“saddle”) (q.v.), made into a second conjugation verb (ending -ot).[1]

  1. to saddle (to attach a saddle to an animal, usually a horse)
    seglot zirgu ― to saddle a horse

    dēli, dēli, kur bijāt? seglojiet kumeliņus! ― sons, sons, where are you? saddle the colts!
