De Primeira Liga 2012–2013 was het 79ste seizoen in de hoogste afdeling van het Portugese profvoetbal. De competitie, door een sponsorovereenkomst ook Liga ZON Sagres genoemd, ging van start op 19 augustus 2012 en eindigde op 19 mei 2013.

FC Porto trad voor het tweede seizoen op rij aan als titelverdediger, en wist de landstitel te prolongeren. Het was het 27ste kampioenschap voor de club. Nieuwkomers waren GD Estoril-Praia en Moreirense, die in het voorafgaande seizoen als eerste en tweede waren geëindigd in de Segunda Liga.

In de 240 gespeelde wedstrijden werd in totaal 667 keer gescoord, goed voor een gemiddelde van 2,78 doelpunt per wedstrijd. Topscorer werd de Colombiaanse international Jackson Martínez van FC Porto met 26 treffers.

Het toeschouwersrecord kwam dit seizoen tot stand op zondag 21 april 2013 bij de wedstrijd SL Benfica–Sporting CP: 62.553 bezoekers. Het duel in het Estadio da Luz eindigde in een 2-0 overwinning voor de thuisploeg.
