Papyrus 18 (nummering volgens Gregory-Aland) of ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ¹⁸, ook wel Oxyrhynchus Papyrus 1079, is een oud fragment van een handschrift van het Griekse Nieuwe Testament . Het is geschreven op papyrus en geeft de tekst van Openbaring van Johannes 1:4-7. Het staat op de verso (achterzijde) van een boekrol van Exodus.[1] De tekst op de recto, voorzijde, is het slot van Exodus 40, dit dateert uit het eind van de tweede eeuw.[1] De heilige namen worden in afgekorte vorm weergegeven. Op grond van het schrifttype wordt het manuscript gedateerd in de derde eeuw.[2]

Beschrijving

De Griekse tekst van deze codex is een vertegenwoordiger van de Alexandrijnse tekst. Aland plaatst het in categorie I van zijn Categorieën van manuscripten van het Nieuwe Testament.[2]

Het is gevonden in Oxyrhynchus, Egypte en wordt tegenwoordig bewaard in de British Library (Inv. 2053v) in Londen.[2]
