Verhaal

In een Frans garnizoenstadje gaat een officier een weddenschap aan met zijn collega's dat hij de liefde van een willekeurige dame zal winnen. Het lot wijst een gescheiden vrouw uit Parijs aan. Alles gaat goed, totdat zij achter de weddenschap komt.
