Categoría Primera A 1948
In 1948 werd de eerste editie van de Categoría Primera A gespeeld, de hoogste divisie in het Colombiaanse profvoetbal, in deze tijd heette de competitie nog Campeonato Professional. De competitie begon op 15 augustus 1948 met de wedstrijd tussen Atlético Municipal uit Medellín en Universidad de Pereira uit Bogotá, ruim anderhalve maand na de oprichting van de hoogste divisie op 27 juni.
