Verge is a decentralized open-source cryptocurrency that claims to offer anonymous transactions by obfuscating the IP address of users with Tor, making it difficult to determine the geolocation of its users.

Verge is an open source project that leverages the Wraith Protocol, using Tor to encrypt and hide transaction IP addresses.
History
Originally named DogeCoinDark when it was created in 2014, it was rebranded Verge Currency in 2016.
Verge announced a partnership with the online pornography provider MindGeek in April 2018.[1]
Verge suffered from 51% mining attacks in April and May of 2018.[2][3]
Verge has a transparent ledger that allows anyone to view all of its transactions, but claims to protect user identities and locations by integrating both Tor to not expose IP addresses.
