The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana is the Australian government's foremost diplomatic representative in Ghana.[1] Australia maintained a High Commission in Accra from 1957 to 1985, at which point accreditation was held by the High Commissioner in Nigeria. The High Commission was re-established in 2004.[2] The ambassador also holds non-resident accreditation for Burkina Faso (since 2008), Côte d'Ivoire (since 2004), Togo (since 2009), Mali (since 2004), Senegal (since 2004), Liberia (since 2008), Sierra Leone (since 2004; as High Commissioner) and Guinea (since 2008).
