Kim, Arizona

Kim is a populated place situated in Yuma County, Arizona, about 65 miles west of Yuma.[2][3] It has an estimated elevation of 400 feet (120 m) above sea level.[1]

Sources disagree on the origin of the name, with the name of a Chinese cook for the president of the Southern Pacific Railroad,[1] the titular character in Kipling's Kim,[3][4] and a Native American word for a mountain lion[5] all being proposed.

As of 1940 it had a population of 125 and a class 4 post office.[6]
