KLTT

KLTT (670 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian Talk format to the Denver, Colorado, and Colorado Springs, United States, areas. The station is currently owned by Crawford Broadcasting and is licensed to Colorado subsidiary KLZ Radio, Inc.[1] With its 50,000 watt daytime signal, KLTT broadcasts can be received throughout most of the state. This powerful daytime signal reaches into southeastern Wyoming, northeastern New Mexico, and into the western portions of Nebraska and Kansas. At night, the station reduces power to 1,400 watts, with a directional signal to the north and south to protect Class-A clear-channel station WSCR in Chicago.

History

The station went on the air as KPBL. On 1988-05-06, the station changed its call sign to KMVP with sports talk programming. On 1995-09-08 to KLDC and on 1996-04-05 to the current KLTT.[2]

Programming

Along with brokered religious programming, with half-hour shows from Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers, David Jeremiah and Michael Youssef, the station carries locally originated "Bob Enyart Live" weekdays at 3:00 pm. On Fridays Enyart and co-host Fred Williams present "Real Science Radio," devoted primarily to challenging the theory of evolution. Among a number of syndicated programs, KLTT airs "Family Talk" with James Dobson weekdays at 4:30pm and 9:00pm, Saturday at 4:00pm and Sunday at 7:30am. "Washington Watch" hosted by Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, airs nightly from 11:00 until midnight. Perkins discusses current issues and conducts interviews with members of Congress and prominent pro-family leaders from across the country.

News and Commentary with Bob Dutko is heard weekdays just before 8:30am and 3:00pm. A daily "BreakPoint" commentary from John Stonestreet of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview airs at various times throughout the day.

"Focus on the Family Radio Theatre" airs on Saturday nights from 10:00 until 11:00pm.
