History

[2]It was inhabited in 1680 by Sarkar Diwan Daud Khan Zamindar bahadur taloka saverai when this region came into the zamindari of Daud khan, a grandson of (Narhar deo Rao) Narhar khan the founder of the Kamsar Pathans( who was great grand son of king Kam deo misir ruler of Fatehpur Sikri, Gwalior, monera, and Jhansi)[3]Daud was an important zamindar during his time, and the region of daud was also known as Daudpur which was after his name. Know Daud's village is only a small village name Daudpur T Gaighat which lies in Gaighat village. Dewaitha, was still Daudpur for 57 years but then dewaitha was re-established by Daud's grand son Sarkar Nawab Babhal khan Zamindar, in late 1737 who was zamindar of 646km²area(256000 Biggha)land .(150000 Biggha) 346km² in Uttar Pradesh and (106000 Biggha) 300km² in bihar according to the old land records of bahbal bhabal shifted here with his grandfather daud. Bahbal Khan renamed the place to Dewaitha. Bahbal khan when istablished Dewaitha he also made a very big tree farm name as Hazarbagh because it's is said that it once cantain more that 16000 trees and it also protected him from British because if they would look it from far they think that it's a forest nothing more but behind it there was a very big palace of Bahbal khan. His this Idea protected him and his palace from British for many years [4].
