Delaware Black Foxes

The Delaware Black Foxes are a semi-professional rugby league football club based in Wilmington, Delaware. They currently compete in the USA Rugby League, in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the North Conference.

History

The Black Foxes were founded in 2015 as an expansion club to represent the state of Delaware in the sport of rugby league. In the inaugural season of the club they finished with a 1-7 record, splitting victories with the Bucks County Sharks. In the club's second season they qualified for a playoff berth with a victory over the DC Slayers and home field advantage with a higher point differential in their win versus the Northern Virginia Eagles.

Since their inception,  the Black Foxes have had numerous domestic players named to the USARL All Star match as well as the USA Hawks national team.  They include:

  • Keith Jones- USARL North All Star
  • Martwain Johnston- USA Hawks World Cup player (2017)
