History

In the early 1960s, DXMT Davao was the station known as the first Golden Sound in the airwaves of Davao City. In latter part it became Sariling Atin owned by former Sen. Rene Espina. On June 15, 1980 Radyo Pilipino Corp. took over the operation and for 5 years it became undisputed number 1 station in Davao known as DXOW-Radyo Pilipino. After long years of commitment and dedication to serve the Dabawenyos, DXOW-Radyo Pilipino made a big leap with its new vision and advocacy under the new management of Radio Corp of the Phils with DXOW - RADYO ASENSO Slogan demands and the latest technology in broadcasting capability.
